Hey, love the costume and its inspiring me to make my own hydra costume. Is there any way I could talk to you about some of the materials that you used for the project.

We can see what you did, but we'd like to know how you did it.

This is my third big costume build, but my first write up. The next couple days I be adding more text on the "How" everything was done pulse materials used.
Any pointers you have, I am all ears!

Folk will want to know about materials, dimensions, any special tricks to cutting or fixing/gluing, and they will want to know about mistakes you made, and how to avoid them.
Try for a flowing style, and break the text up with empty lines between paragraphs. This makes it easier to read, especially when you are looking up and down between the screen and the project in your hands.

Oh, and the most important question - how many times did you bump your head or someone else's?

lets see I worked on this project for two months finishing up Saturday the 27th. Total hours 120+.
The stilts are power sliders you can get them on amazon for about 400 or so. They are easy to learn but I wouldn't recommend them for this purpose they limit the weight of the costume. I had to remove the heavier sound system for a lighter one as the Stilts keep collapsing.
Can't really bump my head in the costume as I am encased in plastics ;) Most people at the events I've been attending approach very slowly :)
