I've been wanting to do this and I finally got the chance to hydro dip. I decided that if I'm going to hydro dip, I want it to be a piece of clothing so I chose a white baseball hat. I already did a practice one to make sure it works and it is actually very simple. In this instructable I'll teach you how to hydro dip.

Supplies

The object that you will hydro dip(I'm using a hat)
Base color spray paint
Other colored spray paint
Tub or basket(No holes)
Water
Gloves(optional)
Tape and/or paper(also optional)
Scissors(if you using tape or paper)
Gas Mask(Recommended)

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

In order to hydro dip you will need to get-

The object that you will hydro dip(I'm using a hat)
Base color spray paint
Other colored spray paint
Tub or basket(No holes)
Water
Gloves(optional)
Tape and/or paper(also optional)
Scissors(if you using tape or paper)
Gas Mask(Recommended)

Step 2: Add Spray Paint to the Water

Get your tub or bucket and add enough water in it so that your object will be able to be covered.

Put on your gas mask so that you don't breathe in all of the chemicals that the spray paint put in the air.

Grab your spray paint, I'm using one base color which is white and two other colored paints which are blue and purple, now spray the top of the water with the spray paint so that only the top of the water is covered in paint.

Step 3: Dip Your Object

Now that the top of the water is covered in paint, you can dip your object.

I recommend using gloves so that the paint doesn't get on your hands

Grab your object from the inside and dip it into the water, once you do that clear the paint rest of the paint to the side and pull your object out of the water.
