Short Description:

The icstation LED Table Lamp uses 24 pure white LED and adjusts the brightness of the lamp through a potentiometer.

It’s a DIY kit which comes with various components. User need to install each component by hand. It not only can exercise and improve soldering skills, but also increase the interest in electronic technology. Great for electronics hobbyists, beginners, school and home education.

About the lamp function:

  1. PWM Adjustable Brightness. It uses PWM technology to achieve 0% - 100% seamless and smooth adjustment of brightness by adjusting the pulse width of PWM signal to 0% - 100%. It also can turn OFF lamp by potentiometer.
  2. Flexible Lamppost. It adopts a 28cm flexible lamp post , we can adjust the light angle and height according to needs.
  3. Rechargeable circuit, with a 18650 lithium battery charging module.It is convenient for table lamp to realize wire-free application and charging.

Supplies

Step 1: Install 2pcs DO-35 IN4148 Diode at D1,D2

Please ay attention to the installation direction.

Step 2: Install 2pcs 200ohm Metal Film Resistor

Step 3: Install 2pcs 10Kohm Metal Film Resistor

Step 4: Install 1pcs 0.001uF 102 Ceramic Capacitor

Step 5: Install 3pcs 0.1uF 104 Ceramic Capacitor

Step 6: Install 1pcs SMD Micro USB 2Pin

Step 7: Cut 8Pin Male Pin to 2pcs 4Pin Male Pin

Note: the longer pin faces up.

Step 8: Install 1pc NE555 Board on 4Pin Male Pin

Step 9: Install 1pcs Bend Pin Socket

Step 10: Install 1pcs Straight Pin Socket

Step 11: Install 1pcs TO-92 ALJ2302 MOS-N

Note: the arc of ALJ2302 corresponds to the arc silk screen on the PCB.

Step 12: Install 1pcs 100uF Electrolytic Capacitor

There is a white ‘ + ’ on PCB silk screen printing where the positive(anode) can insert into.The longer lead is positive(anode)

Step 13: Install 1pcs 3Pin Male Pin

Step 14: Install 1pcs 50Kohm Potentiometer

Step 15: Install Bend Pin Socket on Battery Charging Module

Step 16: Install Battery Charging Module-P1

Step 17: Release Potentiometer Board by Scissors

Step 18: Identify LED Anode and Cathode Lead

Identify the positive(anode) and negative(cathode) lead of LED.The leads of the LED must be installed correctly, otherwise the LED cannot be turned on.Here are four methods as following:

1.According to the length of the LED lead to distinguish. The longer pin is positive(anode) lead. The shorter pin is negative(cathode) lead.

2.Identify the negative(cathode) of the LED is to look into the plastic case where one can see that the negative(cathode) is much thicker/bigger inside the plastic case than the anode lead.

3.Identify by edge of plastic case.The negative(cathode) lead of the LED should be the pin nearest the flat on the plastic case.

4.Test by 3V battery or multimeter.The pin is positive(anode) lead which has connect to the positive of 3V if LED can light up after connect 3V power supply.(LED should not be powered directly from the 3V for a short time:less then 0.5second)

 5.It is positive(anode) where the white mark “ + ” pointing to on PCB.

Step 19: Install 24pcs 5mm 0.5W White LED

Step 20: Fix Red/Black Wire on LED Board

Red connect to “ LED+ ” pad and black connect to “ LED- ” pad.

Step 21: Insert Wire

Be careful not to push too fast.

Step 22: Adjust LED Lamp Panel

Pay attention to the direction of the lampshade.

Step 23: Fix Lamp Shade

Step 24: Connect PCB and Potentiometer Board

Step 25: Fix Main PCB on Bottom Plate

Step 26: Fix Wire on Hole

Step 27: Fix Lamp Post

Step 28: Fix 20cm Red/Black Wire at P4

Step 29: Connect 18650 Battery

Step 30: Fix Potentiometer Board

Step 31: Fix Case

Step 32: Install Knob Cap on Potentiometer

Step 33: Done Now!
