Introduction: Ice Cream Onion Planter

Nothing special, but this is how I grew onions this summer, in an old ice cream container.

Supplies

1 Ice Cream container with lid

1 Knife

2 Coffee Filters

1 source of dirt

1 source of seads

Step 1: Cut

After eating the ice cream (a necessary task) wash the container. Take your knife and poke some holes in the bottom of the container for drainage. Make triangular cuts on the bottom edge for better drainage. Put the container on the lid so the lid can catch the water. Put the coffee filters in the bottom of the container to catch the dirt. Add the dirt. Now evenly space out the seeds. This can also work well for herbs. It is also small enough you can bring it inside as the weather turns. Now I have fresh onions for things like eggs and salads. Nothing special but I wanted to share.
