Introduction: Icy Plum Makeup Tutorial
Here is a beautiful Icy Purple makeup tutorial. This is perfect if you have brown eyes, or even hazel eyes because it really makes them stand out. This is such a fun way to wear colorful eyeshadow, I hope you find this tutorial helpful!
Step 1: Prime Eyes
Prime Eyelids For Eyeshadow
Apply your eyeshadow primer to your eyelids, inner corner, and lower lash line.
I used the Lorac Behind the scenes eye primer.
Step 2: Transition Shade
With a fluffy blending brush apply a matte light brown eyeshadow to your crease and blend towards the brow bone. Make sure to blend well.
I used a MAC 224 brush and light brown from the Lorac Pro 2 Palette
Step 3: Apply Lid Color
With an eyeshadow brush, take a shimmery purple eyeshadow and pack that onto your eyelids.
When applying this shade, mainly focus on the inner part of eyelids and the center (two thirds of the lid). You don't have to apply too much to the outer corner because we will place a darker color there.
Take the same blending brush we used before and use that to help blend the purple. You don't have to add any eyeshadow to the brush.
Step 4: Make the Purple "Icy"
Take a shimmery Pinkish/Purple shade and apply that right on top of the purple.
Step 5: Outer Corner and Crease Color
Take another blending brush that's pinched (I used a Sigma E 25 Brush) and apply a darker purple eyeshadow to the outer corner of your eye, and into the crease. Make sure the eyeshadow is matte not shimmery.
Build the color up slowly.
Take the first blending brush we used, a little more light brown eyeshadow, and blend the edges so they're not harsh.
Step 6: Brow Bone and Inner Corner Highlight
With a small eyeshadow brush, take a matte off-white color and apply it to the brow bone.
With the same brush, take a shimmery pink eyeshadow and apply that to the inner corner.
Step 7: Lower Lash Line
Take a pencil brush and apply the matte purple eyeshadow to the lower lash line. Blend.
I use the pinched blending brush to help me blend.
With the same pencil brush apply some of the light brown eyeshadow to help blend everything on the lower lash line. Apply winged eye liner, mascara and false eyelashes (Optional).
All done.
