Intro: Ikea MYDAL Hack

This is IKEA MYDAL bed hack i made for our baby girl.  Most parts are IKEA based.

also did you make extra holes in the four main poles for the side supports/fences that you moved from the top bunk of the MYDAL to the bottom bunk in your custom version? could you tell me how you did that? I can only see how to do it for the longest fence at the back of the bed but not on the sides

Yes there are few more
holes needed in main poles. Rails are from IKEA as well but I can’t remember
which product. Cannot find it on web anymore so it might be discontinued. It is
basically pole with small curtain hangers. Will try to post detail photo if you
want.

Hi I think I figured out how you made the bed part (I love this design btw) but I'm not sure how you got the curtains to snake around the bed. Were the curtain rails from IKEA?

This is a nice hack. Is it possible to explain a bit more how you did it. Did you flip the bed up side down? What length are your curtains there? Can you show a picture of the hardware?

I love this! This would be perfect for me! Sadly the shelving you used isn't there anymore. Would have to figure that one out. Thank you so much I share a bedroom and this would be wonderful for me!
