Introduction: Immunity Booster Candies

Immunity Booster Candies are made from natural ayurvedic plant ingredients with high medicinal values. These candies are chewy and sweet, incredibly scrumptious, and delightful to have at any time and uniquely after dinner, as significant for processing and sustenance ingestion from food. The ingredients used in the candy preparation help clean the liver, by flushing unwanted toxins and thereby improving overall well-being.

Supplies

  1. Organic Turmeric Powder - 250 Gm
  2. Fresh Ginger - 250 Gm
  3. Basil Leaves - 15-20 Leaves
  4. Jaggery - 500 Gm
  5. Honey - 150 Gm
  6. Clarified Butter - 200 Gm
  7. Crushed Sugar and Rock Salt [ To taste ]

Step 1: Make a Ginger-Basil Paste

  1. Take fresh and raw ginger, and peel it properly using a peeler or a knife. Wash the peeled Ginger and Basil leaves with water
  2. Cut small chunks of the peeled ginger and keep it on the plate
  3. Put these chunks along with Basil leaves into the Grinder and Grind it properly, till it becomes a paste.
  4. Keep the paste handy, till next step is ready

Step 2: Prepare the Cooking Vessel

  1. Pre-heat the vessel on low heat, in which the Candies will be prepared
  2. Upon heating for 3-4 minutes, add Clarified butter to the vessel, and allow it to cook for 4 minutes.
  3. Once the butter is melted and starts to boil - you are ready for the next step

Step 3: Cooking the Ingredients

  1. Ginger-Basil Paste - Add the paste to the heated clarified butter in the vessel, and allow it to cook for 10-12 minutes. Keep stirring the mixture during the time frame. [Cooking needs to be done on Low heat ]
  2. Once the paste is cooked for the stated duration, add the Turmeric powder and let the complete mixture cook for another 10-12 minutes
  3. After 20-25 minutes of cooking the paste, now is the time to move to the next step of adding Jaggery and other stuffs.

Step 4: Final Preparation Steps

  1. Add Jaggery to the Cooked Paste, along with some water, and let it cook for 15-20 mins, till it is liquified.
  2. Once the Jaggery is liquified, add natural Honey to the mixture, and it cooks for some more time, till the paste starts to thicken up.
  3. Once you see a thicker paste of the mixture we just cooked, the candy paste is ready
  4. Prepare the vessel in which you want to keep the candies, by adding a bit of clarified butter to the base. This step will make the vessel non-sticky
  5. Pour small quantities of the thick paste into the vessel using a spoon. This time, the shape of the candy may not be well. Let the candy chunks cool for a couple of minutes, and once the candy starts to thicken up, extract the chunks from the vessel, and give it a round shape by rolling the chunks using your hands.
  6. Small chunks of candies will thicken up and becomes hard after a while, once they harden, add crushed sugar and some salt to taste
  7. Keep the prepared candy in a Glass Jar
  8. Eat one candy every day, followed by a glass of Milk to boost your immunity and overall well-being. This candy will help protect you from Colds, fever, and other internal diseases, and will also help you to improve your strength.
