Introduction: Improve Your Sprinklers Performance and Eliminate the Need to Weedeat

About: I make cake for my friends and family occasionally as a hobby. I also enjoy crocheting.
You are one step away from Saving money, time, and energy. Have you ever broken a sprinkler trying to weedeat around it.I have. But if you dont weedeat around it, your sprinkler will be blocked and your grass will be patchy. One time my husband actually broke our sliding glass door from using a weedeater.(it flicked a rock right into the door) That was an expensive mistake.Like I said using this simple method will save you precious money, time and energy and lasts alot longer than the dreaded weedeating.

Can you imagine never having to weedeat again???

Step 1: You Will Need

Ortho Season Long Max  or some sort of weed killer spray *

It says it lasts up to 4 months but I used it last year in some areas that are still weed free.

* Some people will say you can just use vinegar and spray it when it is really hot. You are welcome to try it. It did not work well for me though.

Step 2: Step 1 (the Only Step)

Simply spray the area around your sprinkler.

Here are a few tips:

*If you trim the weeds a little, you can have better control of the shape around the sprinkler. (and use a little less product)

*I put mine into a store bought spray bottle. I just find it is easier and I have more control  than using the weird pump spray thing that it came with.

*You can use this method around trees so you dont have to weedeat there either. (just make sure that you use newspaper or something to protect the tree trunk, branches and leaves) You just want the weeds/grass around the tree to be dead not the tree.

*It is best to do this when its not windy or cold.

*Try not to water in the area you spray for a day or two.

*This method works great on your cracks in your driveway, near your sprinkler turn on valves, around your kids' swingset, close to the fences or wherever you dont want weeds or grass to grow.
