STEP 7: Chrome OS Installation FAQ

**Chrome OS Installation FAQ**
1) Is this the same as Neverware Cloudready, Flint OS or Fyde OS ? No its not, Its full fledged Official Chrome OS including Android Apps, Linux, Google Assistant, Chrome Sync which is not available usually in this releases.

2) I'm stuck on google logo. Your recovery image file may be corrupted. So re download it and follow the procedure again.

3) My hard drive has name different than sda. You can edit the install.sh script and replace "sda" to your hdd name. or enter the following commands line by line in terminal and replace your hdd name with "sdX"

sudo apt update sudo apt install pv sodu apt install cgpt sudo chromeos-install.sh -src rammus_recovery.bin -dst /dev/sdX

4) I am not able to boot up. Please check your bios settings and disable secure boot, CSM, Legecy mode & turn on UEFI Boot option

5) I want to dual boot Chrome OS with Windows 10. Please let me know in the comments down below so I can make a separate video for dual booting chrome os with windows 10.

6) Linux apps (crostini) are not working at all, how do i fix it? Go check if you have enabled all virtualization related option in your BIOS (Ex: "Intel Virtualization", "VT-x", "VT-e" etc...) (you should)

Still if you have problem ,watch the video or comment on the video

Installed rammus 85 on Asus Transformer Book T100, which is a 2-in-1 (I can remove the keyboard and use it as a tablet). Overall things work quite well, but some features are missing. Screen auto-rotation and tablet mode gestures do not work. Any ideas on how to fix it? Also my Lenovo Duet Tablet is on Chrome OS 86 version, but rammus 85 claims there is no updates. Will it update later? Thank you.
dear after completion of installation, when boot chrome OS errors appeared, error: no such device: /chromos.img error:file '/chromos.img not found. error: disk 'loop,gpt7' not found. error: you need to load the kernel first. Press any key to continue...
Everything seems to have worked properly on our old Dell Vostro 1520. But chromeos does not seem to launch: we take off the USB and reboot the laptop but just a white screen with a blinking underscore. Any idea? Any help?
Hi, great instructions and running great. However, after every shutdown and rebooting, it will run some scripts for awhile before going to the Chrome OS log-in screen.

Is it possible to skip or do not show this running script on booting up? Thanks.
Mr kedar,
I am facing two errors after following your procedure.
Errors : no partition available
Errors: please load the kernel first
I can download Brunch r80_k4.19 file but there is nothing to Extract

Hi Kedar.
Go thru all steps and saw the "Chrome OS installed" on my laptop. After machine re-start and saw the "Missing OS" error message.
Any advice!
Laptop: Asus Ultrabook UX31.
Hello Kedar,
I have the same issue as Charliefung. All process works, but on reboot it shows "Missing OS". I have HP nc6400 32 bit.
Ideas?: anything to do with TPM ? Or may be Rammus does not work with older machines? Also, in project croissant speaks about using two images (eve and Caroline) due to TPM. Any clue? Thank you and congratulations for the work
