Introduction: Instructables Class Bottle Cap Dangle Earrings

About: I am a conceptual artist, and my DIY projects are mostly inspired by pop culture (movies, music, sports, TV). I mostly specialize in painting, graphic design, drawing, digital photography, performance art, and…

Show your love for your favorite classes on Instructables with this fun pair of bottle cap dangle earrings! Instructables, this goes out to you!

Step 1: Materials

To make this honorable set of earrings, you will need:

  • images of Instructables class icons
  • Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
  • scissors
  • jewelry pliers
  • jump rings
  • earring fishhooks
  • Optional: metal hole puncher (if your bottle caps don't have holes on the sides)

Step 2: Prep Images

First, go to your Instructables account, and in your profile, you will see all of the different icons of the classes you've signed up for. Just copy and save in your word document, then print them out.

Step 3: Prep Bottle Caps

Then, cut out the images to fit inside the bottle cap. If you have a metal hole puncher, punch two holes on either side of the cap first. Mine had holes already punched in, so I didn't have to worry about that step. Then, just fill the bottle caps with Dimensional Magic and let it set for a few hours to dry and dome.

Step 4: Assemble Earrings

Then, once the caps have set, open up the jump rings with the jewelry pliers, and attach an earring fishhook, along with your first cap underneath it. Then, work your way towards the bottom, depending on the number of caps you're using. I used 6 bottle caps, 3 for each earring.

Step 5: Done!

Now, you can wear your favorite Instructables class earrings with pride, and show off your favorite classes! Mine are: Glue / Machine Sewing / Jewelry / Photography / Cake Decorating / Superhero Costumes!
