So im going to the Detroit maker faire with my instructabels T-shirt, but I was thinking how cool it would be if I had a necklace that didnt only show insturctables but showed me in Instructables too. So I made something like that, and it turned out great. So why doest everyone have one. It would make a great instructable and people would love it. So here I am now showing people how to show off instructables and themselves. Its super easy to make and everyone can do it. enjoy!

Step 1: Materials

The things you need to make this are quite simple and most everyone has them

materials
-plexiglass or other hard, thin material. Wood could be used as a substitute
-clear packaging tape
-necklace chain of your choice, I used a chain for old jewelry
-thin wire

tools.
-wire cutters, they dont need to be very strong
-drill with small bit or something else to make a hole in your plaexiglass or whaatever you are using
-something to cut your material to shape. I used a dremel and plaxigalss
-computer printer

Step 2: Cutting

The first thing you have to do is cut out your base material. I cut it to the measurments of 2.5" by 1.75". Cut your material to the size of your choice and sand down the edges so it looks nice. I suggest using my measurments because in the next step when you print it will fit right onto this size.

Step 3: Front and Back Pictures

To get the instructables robot go to the insturctables robot member profile and copy the robot picture into microsoft word. Size it to the same size as your cut material base. next you need to log out and search for yourself. Go to your profile and copy paste all the info and stuff in the top let hand corner, its orange, into microsoft word. You will only be able to copy the words not the orange rectangle surronding the info tand things so your will need to add the rectangle in with microsoft word. Print out both the robot and your profile picture now with its orange surronding back with it.

Step 4: Taping and Finishing.

Put the robot on one side and your profile on the other side of your cut out base. Use the clear packaging tape and tape the on so they are stuck on good. After that you should have wat looks like a really thick playing card. Now take your drill and drill a small hole i the corner and cut off a piece of wire and put it through. Make a loop with the wire and put your chain or necklace through it. You now have a neklace showing off your favorite website and and your profile acheivements.
