Introduction: Interfacing Proximity Sensor With Mediatek Linkit One Board
In this Instructable You will Be able to Interface Sharp IR Proximity Sensor With Mediatek Linkit One Board.
A proximity sensor is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact.
A proximity sensor often emits an electromagnetic field or a beam of electromagnetic radiation (infrared, for instance), and looks for changes in thefield or return signal. The object being sensed is often referred to as the proximity sensor's target. Different proximity sensor targets demand different sensors. For example, a capacitive or photoelectric sensor might be suitable for a plastic target; an inductive proximity sensor always requires a metal target.
Step 1: What You Need
- Mediatek LinkitOne Board
- Sharp GP2Y0A21YK Proximity Sensor
- Connecting wires
- USB cable
Step 2: Connections
Red Wire:5V on Board
Brown wire: Gnd On Board
Black Wire:A0 Analog Pin on Board
I have also uploaded the Graph Of output voltage versus distance so That U can Depict The Behaviour of The sensor with Distance.
Step 3: Code,Compile and Run
Upload The Code and You are Ready To Go!!!! Congratulations you have Successfully Interfaced Proximity Sensor with the Mediatek Linkit One Board.
I have Uploaded the Sharp library Zip file which You will need to add to The Arduino IDE
