Introduction: Irish Coffee Plus
This recipe is for my Dad's version of Irish coffee. He thought it up and it become a family tradition. Now that he's gone we carry on in his name. Thanks Dad we love you.
Step 1: Ingredients
Irish Whiskey
Creme de Cocoa
Coffee
Whipped Cream (Real Dairy)
Step 2: Build
Start with an empty coffee cup.
Cover the bottom of the cup with Creme de Cocoa. Sorry I can't give you a specific measurement here it depends on the size of the cup.
Add a jigger of Irish Whiskey. The Mom only uses about 3/4 of a jigger.
Fill the cup to within about 3/4 of an inch to the top. We're leaving room for the whipped cream.
Using a spiral pattern fill the cup with the whipped cream. Please don't use the cheaper non dairy type, it really wrecks it. You find it in an aerosol can in the dairy section at any supermarket. We like to use the Safeway brand.
Drizzle some more Creme de Cocoa on the whipped cream.
Step 3: Toast
Here's to you Dad!

love the creme de cocoa. Best Irish coffee I ever had was with real cream...not processed...if you ever get the chance, try that.

I take no credit. My late father dreamed this up. It is a very good recipe which we have introduced into several establishments now. Many have changed their recipes in favor of this one. St Paddy's day is almost upon us.
