Intro: Iron Man Arc Reactor

Building this iron man arc reactor is very simple and cheap.

Step one is to gather supplies. (I do go over where to get the supplies and how much they cost appx. in video)

Materials-

*Sink drain
*Clear tube
*Electrical tape
*Copper wire
*Super glue or hot glue
*LED's
*Cardboard
*Hole puncher

Once you have the the materials then you can get started.

+First take the sink drain and glue to strainer to the back of the drain. Wait for glue to dry.

+Then place LED's and glue inside the sink drain.

+Then take tubing measure to fit inside the sink drain

+Cut tube then hot glue to make circle (wait to dry)

+Then place electrical tape around tubing even length apart.

+Wrap the copper wire around each piece of electrical tape. Then glue back to hold in place.

+Place completed tubing, tape, wire inside drain glue in place.

+Take cardboard using a compass make a cirlcle to fit your sink drain, then cut.

+Use hole puncher to make holes in circle piece of cardboard.

+Glue cardboard down.

Let dry and then place for your friends to see. Thanks for watching...!

If you want to use something other than the tubing I can reccomend plexie glass and cutting out a circle. If you want a thicker ring multiple rings would work. Hot gluing them together.

For a cheaper method my little brother made one with bottom of a water bottle.
Hi awesome video, I was just wondering where to get the translucent tubing, because I just checked the home depot site online and they didn't have any. Is there any other alternatives to the outer ring?
I checked online also I couldn't find it. I went to home depot today though it's in the plumbing section next to the PVC pipe. I ask a store clerk why it wasn't available online (young man) responded with some items areonly aavailable in store such as by the foot tubing, electrical wire, and gutters.
And what is the wattage?
You uses blue or white LEDs?

Im sorry about that it was posted on Youtube so it should have a volume slider.ill check into that.

For the board and button I took it outof a"good choice" press light. Which I got from home depot. once you have the press light rip it apart its a triangular board.

The leds in the light in the lihht are horrible so I would recommend getting some from online. I get mine from Amazon ill post the link in a moment. Then solder the old led's out. Place new ones in, you can find led's cheaper on ebay but I trust Amazon more so thats why I shop there.
Thanks for stoping by my page.
Really interested in doing this, thanks.
Sorry, apparently it does. Bad phone. Super new into this stuff, what kind of board did you use and how did you solder it? What parts/housing specifically?
Your video has no volume
