Introduction: James Develin's Gym

About: I'm 14 years old and like to build and create. I like programming, CAD and Blender. I was introduced to tinkercad during remote learning and am now hooked to all things 3D.

Inspired by James's webinar I set out and created this gym using Autodesk's Tinkercad.

This instructable will cover what is inside James's gym and a brief explanation of the ideas.

Here is the link to the project:

Step 1: Entrance/facilities

Walking into the building you will see cubicles for:

  • toilets
  • lockers
  • Showers
  • and a changing room

Each user has their own private partition. The facilities are ultra sleek and modern.

There is a vending machine including water and sports drinks for refreshment, as it is vital to hydrate whilst exercising.

Step 2: The Climbing Wall

There is a climbing wall to the left of the building with a time trial for a max intensity work out.

Step 3: Stairs

Based on James's comment on stadium stairs I added a similar style stair which provides access to several floors.

Step 4: The Pool!

Training in water is excellent for recovering from injuries so included in the gym is a pool!

The pool has two lanes and a basketball hoop with a ball.

Step 5: The Layers

The upper floors include:

  • treadmills
  • bikes
  • weights
  • mats
  • Yoga balls
  • Skipping ropes

There is also a TV so that you can follow along to videos whilst working out. You can also look down upon the swimmers below from any floor

Step 6: External and Extras

The outside is sleek and modern using minimal space of the plot.

Within the design is enough room to include storage and ropes.

Step 7: Conclusion

Overall this was really fun to make and i hope that James enjoys seeing it.

As always it would be appreciated if you could vote for this and check out my other projects.

Stay safe!
