Introduction: Jeep Kit Card Jurassic Park JP18

About: hello everyone.. my name is fasya and i am a professional 3d modeller working in for a local animation industry in Malaysia.. i started doing 3d printing as a hobby and fell in love with it.. now i do it full …

So as everyone knows my nephew is a big jurassic world fan.. so he loves anything that has to do with dinosaurs.. Last month, there was a kit card contest on makerworld and i didnt have time to make anything for it.. but i saw this one jeep kit card that looks so freakin cool that i had to make my own version of it.. So i opened up tinkercad and a week later.. we have the JP18 Jeep wrangler from jurassic park..

Difficulty level:

  1. 3D printing - Easy
  2. Assembly - Easy
  3. Wiring - NOP
  4. Painting - NOP

So let's get started..

Supplies

All you need is a multicolor 3d printer.. so you can print them in combination of different colors..

im currently using Bambulab P1s 3d printer.. You can buy them from my affiliate link,,

Step 1: Modelling With Tinkercad

It took me a few days to model the whole jeep and a day plus to turn it into a kit card.. since i already made a few kit card using tinkercad.. it was an easy but tedious work laying out the jeep into a kit card.. since i made so many grouping to create the jeep.. it took a while for the grouping to load everytime i combine something..

Overall it was worth it..

Step 2: 3D Printing

I printed everything using my bambulab P1s 3d printer with 4 interchangable filament.. so the kit card can be printed with 4 different colors..

I used:

  1. Grey
  2. Black
  3. Red
  4. Brown

The file can be found on my makerworld page: https://makerworld.com/en/models/447652

If you're printing using bambu printer.. all you have to do is login and download the 3mf file..

open it using bambu studio slicer and the color for each part is already set by me..

now just set your filament to print..

you dont have to print with supports or brimm..

For other printer users.. you'll have to download the STL and set the colors for each part yourself..

If you're looking to buy the bambulab printer.. please use my affliate link.. i'll get commission should you buy from the link.. Bambulab P1s 3D Printer

Once printed.. you can view the assembly video.. The assembly is straight forward and easy to make..

The only part you need to peel of is the 4 box under the main body that is the supports for the jeep's undercariage.. you can peel them off using a blade like in the picture..

Step 3: Conclusion

Its been a while since i made a kit card.. my old catapult and bicycle was a great hit last year and i hope this jeep will do the same.. Making everything with tinkercad was easy except for the wait time for the model to load on tinkercad..

I hope you guys have fun with the jeep kit card..
