Jelly Injected Peanut Butter Pretzel Nuggets

Intro: Jelly Injected Peanut Butter Pretzel Nuggets

Very simple. Very delicious. Slightly time consuming.

I know what you're thinking. "Why not just spoon some jelly on top of the pretzel nuggets and call it a day?" WRONG. That is messy... and does not require a 24 guage syringe found in an alley in NYC(kidding)... it was found in Chicago.

All jokes aside, you will only need to purchase three items to complete this simple task.

Materials:

Grape Jelly(I like strawberry better but the seeds kept on getting jammed in the syringe)... if need be buy a syringe with a lower gauge number): $4

24(if they have a lower gauge get that)Gauge Syringe: Found at CVS (along with every other item listed here).** They may ask you why you're purchasing a syringe at ten o'clock on a Thursday night, in which you should reply "I don't even know what year it is man" this should give them a clear indication of what you are probably going to use the syringe for.: $.33

Peanut Butter Pretzel Nuggets can be found in the candy aisle of any CVS: $3-4.

**You should also have a bowl, spoon, and paper towels sitting around.

STEP 1: Prep the Jelly

Spoon about 8 table spoons of jelly into a bowl and mash it up.

Microwave it for twenty seconds.(almost to the point of boiling).

Take the syringe and suck the jelly up... fill it up.

Turn the syringe upside down and flick the bubbles out... the nuggets respond the same way as humans do when bubbles are injected into their blood stream.

** For thicker jelly you can just take the syringe apart and put the jelly in through the back.

STEP 2: Inject the Nuggets

Take the Syringe and plunge it into the large surface of the nugget. Setup an assembly line for faster filling.

Allow for up to 20cc's of jelly to release... or at least until you see jelly seeping through the sides of the nugget.

Pull the syringe out... and presto, you have ready to go miniature peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

this looks pretty cool. u should try other stuff like mustard, or cheese...maybe peanut butter? i don't know how it would work or if it would, but try different fillings ;)

Well... the nugget comes with the proprietary peanut butter... so... mustard may not be the best choice. hahah.

Great Idea! At Oscar Blues (Restaurant, make Dales Pale Ale and Old Chub, popular microbrews), they have these kids peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that are similar. This reminded me of them. I will definitely try some of these some day...

I live in a state where syringes cannot be purchased without a doctor's prescription. I'm sure I can get my doc to go along (a printout of this Instructible will be helpful), but I am having a hard time trying to imagine what the nice pharmacy people are going to do when I ask them what is the largest size syringe they have. I love the Instructible, but I think I'll just get a baker's syringe (larger, big bore needle with round point) at the kitchen supply store and keep my name from being reported to the DEA. Can't wait to spring some of these goodies on the family. Do you have to eat them right away, or is it okay to let them sit for a day or so?

A bakers syringe would be great, I kind of did this randomly and CVS is right around the corner, you can definitely leave them over night, put them in the fridge... the shell pretty much forms a preservation capsule.

YUMMY! Thanks for this great idea, my older daughter is a pretzel junkie to the point she'll take the pretzel sticks and wrap them in pepperoni and call it a meal, now with your idea there will also be desert, lol.
