Junk Jellyfish V.1

Let's build a jelly fish out of junk. It will be lit with a small addressable LED unit.

Step 1: Start With a Damn Ugly Umbrella From Urban Ore...

big plus if it's already broken. this one is missing a handle, and has been assaulted by a christmas decoration.

Step 2: Clean It Up

I removed the baubles and took the fabric off the frame in oder to clean it.

Step 3: Modify the Frame

I cut off the ends to remove the fabric. they must be finished with duct tape to reduce the likelihood of blinding other ravers. I put tape on center rod to stop umbrella from opening completely.

Step 4: Modifying the Fabric

Mark the fabric where the hinges are and cut slits up to the mark on all the seams. Then tape the center of every other fabric panel to the center post. Then tape the panels together at the hinges.

Step 5: Bling Your Jellyfish

I'm using a fabulous red shopping bag & iridescent wrapping to ensure other ravers are more aware of the possibly blinding metal spokes protruding from the body

Step 6: Congratulations on Completing Your Very Own Jellyfish Puppet.

Shove it on a stick & play safe.
