I´m having fun at the moment by seeing what can I make myself and so don´t have to buy. You also save a bit I agree its not much however the more things you make then it adds up what you save, also you know whats in it! I was hit by cancer twice and still going strong however it is unbelievable what is for example in a shower gel or shampoo which is on my list of cancer (could) cause problems, it is dfficult to find a "clean" product, and finally YOU MADE IT, makes a difference when you use it. Having said that there are lots of ways to make a mouth wash easily with a few herbs I will do that one in the future this time I am going to use Hydrogen Peroxide (I really love this stuff, I use it in my home cleaning stuff, as a disinfectant, etc.) HP is used in Hospitals to disinfect. The thing is you can ONLY USE Hydrogen Peroxide in a 3% solution anymore and you could get burns BE CAREFUL, I will not take any responsibility if you make or use it wrong. Also DO NOT SWALLOW So warning done now on to the fun

Supplies

1 (or more) Dark GLASS Bottle

240ml Water

120ml Hydrogen Peroxide 3% solution

up to 10 drops Mint essential oil ( or other flavour such as Grapefruit,Lemon,Rosmary etc.)

1 Tablespoon Honey which Emulsifies the mixture

1 Chopstick (This is a veteran from other KISS Principles)

Step 1: Add Water & H2O2

Taking your trusty pyrex beakers put 240ml in one and measure 120ml Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) and add it to the water and mix it together

Step 2: Add Your Honey, Honey

Measure a Tablespoon of Honey to the mixture (notice the lid it says Honey in Greek and under that Antheon which is where it came from, have you thought where in the world all the instructables are from? Next time take a look at the photos of ingridients, lot of culture here Bud)

Step 3: Lets Get Minty

I used 10 drops of Mint essential oil, you could use a different flavour or mixture say Grapefruit / Mint or other

Step 4: Make It Dizzy

Now with your trusty chopstick give it a good stiring to make sure the oils and honey are well mixed

Step 5: Fill Er Up

As I mentioned you should use Glass bottles because plastic ones could be affected by the mint oil after sometime (no, I dont know how long) also you are better off using dark glass because the H2O2 gets affected by sunlight and weakens.

Step 6: Using Your Mouthwash

I only had a small dark bottle, so I filled others which are clear and put them in the cupboard, when the small bottle is empty then I refill it with the other.

To actually use the Mint Mouthwash give the bottle a good shake and take a mouthful, you can use it twice a day and use it for 30 seconds, you will notice it foams up as well in your mouth. After using it spit it out and rinse your mouth with water, done.. As to who can use it I would say Adults and teens, do not know about small children, anyone Pregnant there does not seem to be any problem (I had researched a bit) I have used this no problems but as I say I feel I must give a warning about the material, use 3%, the correct measurements, and don´t swallow you´ll be fine and you really feel a difference.
