Introduction: K'NEX Gun: Ripper
The coolest fictional gun from the Call of Duty series would have to be, in my opinion, the Ripper (EvoPro III). With the ability to toggle between the SMG and the AR world, and that incredible body, whats not to like? Making a functional K'NEX replica, however was not easy. In the first place, there were no dimensions for me to base my replica off of. In the second place, the distance between the magazine and the firing mechanism is unrealistically small. So I decided to take the same approach that I did with my Magpul PDR, and make a breach loading gun out of it. You can also look at this gun as the close range cousin of my RBLTR.
Before I go any further, I will make a disclaimer here and point out that this is technically not a replica. I did my best to duplicate the Ripper, but almost from the start, this gun was created for fun, and nothing else.
The one downfall of this gun was the range. I got 60 ft. max out of it, using two new #117 bands. This is caused by the fact that it has a 5 1/2 - 6 in. pin pull length, that could not have been enhanced without extending the stock. I didn't want to do this, so I left it "as is."
Features:
- Average range (for a full-size): 60 ft. max
- Breach loading mech
- True trigger
- Permanent foregrip
- Comfortable grip set
- Good, close range, iron sights
- Great, long range, flip up holo-sight
- Shoots yellow rods, blue rods, and white rods
- Sturdy body
- EZ-load system (just push the round into the chamber and lock it into the bullet-lock)
- 4+ different ways of holding it
- Short overall body (great for indoor K'NEX wars)

your welcome, I have been so busy, with homework from my ap classes and just with life in general, I tested for my second degree blackbelt the other day, and I am finally taking a break from life for a day or two. But, I do have something big planned for my next post. MG

Ah, I can relate. I just got a job, and the only reason why I have been able to post is because I already had all of the pictures taken. I haven worked on my Stoner 63 in days.

As you can see, I have been pretty busy lately,(last post was 1 month ago) but am on this site once again. My machine gun is annoying the heck out of me. Everything is just so delicate and precise and frustrating. Still haven't decided on a good enough mech to rely upon, just to much friction with the ones previous to the current model. I don't know if you ever saw me and myOmy's machine gun. It is on his account in his forum topics. Tell me whatcha think.

I absolutely love the looks of this gun! It looks futuristic and deadly at the same time! I think you did a great job of replicating the gun, especially since you didn't have documentation to work from, which means you had to build this without any dimensions. You did a great job!
