Introduction: Semolina Sweet and Chick Pea Bowl ( Festivities Made Out of Semolina Flour and Boiled Chick Peas)

Kesari Bath- Traditional Sweet made out of Semolina Flour, Sugar and Water Garnished with Fried Cashews and Almonds. This is the most popular sweet offered to god during festivals. It can be customised according to our taste and flavours.

Chick Pea Bowl- This Traditional Snacks made out of Soaked Chick Peas. We can use Yellow Chick peas or Brown Chick Peas. It can prepared with very minimum and most available ingredients such as Onion, mustard seeds, Jeera, Channa Dal, and Grated Coconut. This dish can be a starter during either Breakfast , Lunch or Dinner and Snacks as well.

For Preparation of these two recipes it takes around 30 minutes.

Let us see the ingredients of both Kesari Bath and Chick Pea Bowl.


Supplies

Kesari Bath

  1. 1/2 Cup Semolina Flour
  2. One Glass of Water
  3. Chopped Cashews and Almonds
  4. A Pinch of Cardamom Powder
  5. 4 to 5 Spoons of Sugar
  6. Oil

Chick Pea Bowl

  1. A bowl of boiled Chick Peas
  2. 2 TableSpoons of Salt
  3. 1 Table Spoon of Chilli Powder
  4. One Small Size Onion
  5. Jeera
  6. Channa Dal
  7. Oil
  8. Grated Coconut (Optional)
  9. A Pinch of Hing(Optional)

Note:- The ingredients mentioned as Optional are not included in the images. The images include only the Main Ingredients.

Step 1: Fry the Cashews and Almonds

  1. Switch on the Stove ( Keep it in High Flame)
  2. Add the Chopped Cashews and Almonds
  3. Fry until they turn into Golden Brown
  4. Shift it into a Plate or Bowl.

Step 2: Preparation of Kesari Bath

  1. In the same kadai Add one glass of water
  2. Add a pinch of Cardamom Powder
  3. Add 5 to 6 Spoons of Sugar
  4. Bring the water to boil
  5. Then simultaneously Add Semolina Flour and mix it ( Ensure there are no lumps formed during this stage)
  6. Once after the Semolina Flour Absorbs all the Water it will be as shown in the above image
  7. At last garnish it with Fried Cashews and Almonds

Kesari bath is Ready to Serve!!!!!!

Step 3: Preparation of Chick Pea Bowl

  1. In the same Kadai Add Two Table of Oil
  2. Once the Oil is heated then Add Jeera and Channa Dal
  3. Let them turn Golden Brown
  4. Add Onions , Salt, Chilli Powder and a Pinch of Hing\
  5. Saute it for Sometime

Note :- Cook in Medium Flame for better results

Step 4: Final Step

  1. Add the boiled Chick Peas
  2. Saute it once
  3. Then Add Grated Coconut
  4. Saute it for sometime
