Introduction: Knex Ball Machine Lift: Triple Moving Arm Lift
Hey everyone,
Here are instructions for the Knex Triple Arm Lift (a knex ball machine lift).
The lift is quite easy to make and rotates very smooth when the instructions are carefully followed. As you can see by the title, the lift makes 3 separate movements when only 1 (6V) motor with 2 dubble A batteries is required.
The lift can also handle multiple knex balls at one time thanks to a little ball dispenser that is connected to the same motor that rotates the lift.
Make sure to check out Step nr 1 to see if you have all the special pieces you need to make this lift, (like Micro Knex pieces, the big green gear, etc...).
If there are any complains, questions or problems about the lift, please tell me in the comments below.
Thanks for watching, building,
Thibault Art.

Made this - best one so far - but it doesn’t work for me.
Only one ball gets picked every so often, the rest miss.
It appears to be not synchronised for some reason.
have I missed something?
Answer 1 year ago
Ok - yellow gear has 82 teeth - green gear has 84 - hence not synchronised.
I replace the green gear with a yellow one and now it works.

That is a really cool ball machine lift! May I ask where you got the special green gear from? I can't find where to get one :/

Thanks for your comment! You can buy one of those green gears on the "K'NEX User group" site. here's a link if you're interested:

I would recommend that you hurry though. It's a knex piece that hase been discontinued a while ago and they are almost sold out.

Unfortunately, the gear isn't available to the USA or Canada... Do you know of any other way to use maybe a large yellow gear?

Oh, well I think there is a way to make this lift work with a Large yellow gear. And if you have a bit of experience with Knex, it shouldn't be to hard.
I can send you a picture tomorrow with (maybe) a solution to this problem if you would like?

It's not an efficient lift, but Who Cares! :D
This is the most beautiful one I have seen so far. Mesmerizing movements and great instructions!
Keep it up!

True, it is indeed not the most efficient lift I've ever made XD.
Thanks :).

Thanks! They are all coming very soon. I'm just not going to make instructions for the 4th lift you see in the video. The 4th lift uses Cyber Knex, which makes it very hard to explain because every teeth of every gear needs to be perfectly placed. But the first and third lift will have instructions :).
