K'nex Ball Mill Very Easy

I need a ball mill to make aluminum powder for thermit so I made this. I used K'nex because I have a lot of them and they are easy to use.

Step 1: Materials

You will need the following. 1 medium sized mayo jar or any other round jar. If you do use a different size jar you might have to change the frame a little because it is coutom to the jar I had. You also will need so marbles or steel balls. I used 23 but it doesn't matter. You at least need 20. You need a big motor. I got mine from a treadmill. Last you need is a rubber band some aluminum foil and of course k'nex.

Step 2: Motor Base

Place grey rods through holes on the base of the motor a should lock into the white rods.

Step 3: Base That Holds Up Mayo Jar

Build put together

Step 4: Putting It Together

Just clip the rods on

Step 5: Finnish and Use
