Introduction: Knex Car - Big Rims Monte Carlo
One of my Best Knex Cars got recreated with Bigger Rims. I leave the option to anyone building this to add Electrical Tape to the Rims.
I had the idea of making a Knex Car with big rims when I was driving home, on my way I saw a red 60s car lifted with the biggest rims hugging the inner fenders, it looked nice, the guys had to climb up to get it, really funny watching that. I modified the original Monte Carlo I've built before on here, it took little time lifting it, and adjustments was made. Last year this was ready for Instructables, but I changed the body so it didn't look the same with Bigger wheels, I did compact the car to make it shorter in length.
Step 1: Building the Base
Floor board is the base of the car
Step 2: Engine
I didn't change this from the first post, when completed, just tune the engine so it moves and spins freely without getting stuck.
Step 3: Steering System
This model does have fully working steering, I even made sure the wheels don't grind or touch body parts.
Step 4: Front Body Parts
Adding the body is done in layers,
Step 5: Rear Axle
Split rear axle, built durable for knex, this is complicated if not following images.
Step 6: Rear Body Parts
Just Simple.
Step 7: Seat and Roof
Step 8: Finishing Touches
Add Wheels, Doors, Done.
