Introduction: Knex Gun: DTAR
Hello, and happy Thanksgiving! This is my newest gun. It is probably one of my favorites. This gun is a puesdo slingshot. Which means it is a semi-auto slingshot, at least that's what I think it means. This you should probably know to; it doesn't have a mag so you have to load in each bullet. So I guess it shots rubber bands semi-auto but not bullets, but you and load in connectors. Anyways here are the Pro's and Con's.
PRO's
I think it looks REALLY nice
Semi-auto
Very comfy
I got 60-low 70's
Safety
Accurate
Really powerful
Compact/small
Reliable
doesn't use to many parts
No "rare" or "weird" parts
A simple mech so the bands won't jam
Can shot pretty much anything
Safety clicks in place
Straight pull back true-trigger
Different trigger
CON's
Uses a broken white connector, required
Probably won't be posted
3 bands on the wheel at a time
Not a "real" semi-auto I guess
Alright guys/girls if you want to see more guns like this be sure to follow me for more great guns. Also, tell me what you think, leave a comment below :).

It's meh...I am not a big fan of RBGs, but "to each his own" I always say. It looks good though, clean edges, sharp looks, and no barrel. All of that is to my liking. Keep it up. (Making a video would be great!)

Yea I probably will. I know RBG;s aren't my favorite, but I try to switch it up a little bit.

Good, I would like to see it (don't forget to add a clip of it in action XD). Yup, switching it up is a good idea.

I know it's called a ratchet. I just forgot to say. That sounds pretty nice, I believe FredThePenguin did something like that on his Logic Bow. I most likely am wrong. But looking forward to seeing it! Also, thanks, means a lot :)

Your welcome! Yeah, Fred The Penguin made one. His name was Logic Boy at one point, but he changed that to the other name I just mentioned. The one I'm posting differs from his by a lot. It has a connector barrel instead of a tube barrel, it's extremely versatile and has more uses than the Logic Bow. I think power and range between mine and his are the same. Ratchets can hold a lot of power you know. I heard once somebody modified I Am Canadians Striker Pistol that used a what's now called a ratchet mechanism so it could hold up to 25 # 64 rubber bands. I am calling my gun the Ditto Bow, and I think it can hold 12 bands easily. I was able to put 20 bands on the Logic Bow without any problems when I had it built(long time ago). I'm about to make a tube barrel and stick it on my Ditto Bow just for the fun of it after it's posted. Again, beautiful work my friend. :)

Ok it will be interesting to see. But when you said "one of the most powerful k'nex guns known to exist." if it has the same power as the logic bow than it won't be what you said. Just being realistic, not mean, I think the NAR will hold that title for a while. Thanks again.
Reply 10 years ago on Introduction
The Logic Bow is more powerful than the NAR. If you put more than 15 bands on the NAR, the pin will break. The NAR has a limit. The Logic Bow can hold more than 20 bands, and there isn't a known limit for the gun yet. Since this is a ratchet repeating slingshot, you should do a power test to see if it can hold more bands than you can put on. If it can, then there are more powerful guns than the NAR, if not, then somebody exaggerated a little too much about their Logic Bow, and you know who I'm talking about.

Haha I got you ;). But I might try a test.

Thanks! You go and do that, shouldn't take you more than 5 or 10 minutes. :)

Nice!! I wish you would post, next thing I love to high power rams, is high power slingshots!! But what I love the most are hybrid k'nex guns, and I'm posting one of my own soon, probably this December. The simple mech you're using has a name, it's called a Ratchet. Just thought you'd like to know that. Anyway, the gun I have is a ram or pin gun, and it uses the ratchet as a slingshot mech to hold all of the pins bands. This makes a zero-friction pin gun, possibly one of the most powerful k'nex guns known to exist. Beautiful work Didexo.
