Intro: Knex Hot Wheels Machine

This project was an attempt to make a knex hot wheels machine. Unfortunately it failed :-( The video explains why.

You know, this could have been useful as a ball machine instead of a hot wheels track. Though this is a really neat build!

Those offroad trucks would obviously not work

That's cool! For the record, most of the Hot Wheels sets never worked right, lol. The track design looks nice. Also, did it work with Knex balls? :-P

yeah!!!!

you could sell that and make just as much money as hot wheels does!!!! :D

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I know, right?!

Thank you. Yes it did. I forgot to show it though :(
Great idea!

BTW Nice Highway 35 car... still have that movie on DVD. :P
Thanks.

Ha,ha same here. I have 7 more Highway 35 cars which are in much better condition including Vert Wheeler's Deora 2
This is awesome, truly innovative and epic! Even though it doesn't work, it was a joy to watch. That loop was great! Maybe you could use some thin(er) tubbing to reduce the friction, as for the lift I agree with Sorunome.
Very good idea! I think all that this needed to work better is to lengthen the distance inbetween the landing ramp and the banked turn. I'm really impressed with the overall concept though.
This is a good idea. As a matter of fact I've been working on my own version of a knex HW machine-but I've integrated hotwheels track, and used a hotwheels motor instead. it allows the machine to have more paths and "elements."
Thank you. I was going to use hot wheels track but I didn't have enough of it so I tried this version.

Your version sounds pretty cool. Are you going to post it?
Oh, well i have tons of track and thousands of cars from my childhood. (I collected HotWheels before I discovered Nerf). I probably will post it-when its finished! :P
Cool idea, too bad it didn't work.
Maybe the lift problem could be fixed by making it more like a rollercoaster lift on the top part, instead of that sudden drop like thingy.
