Introduction: Knex Medieval Longsword 4 Steps
just a simple longsword
pros: low piece count, realistic, easy to construct/deconstruct.
cons: bendy, requires locking tabs (for me they are a rare type of piece).

Step 1: Point
you should be able to build it from the pic.
Step 2: Blade
it's pretty simple to make.
Step 3: Hilt
this is the center of the build. the grey rod goes through the orange and yellow connecters
Step 4: Handle
its not to hard to attach the rods to the connecters
