Intro: K'nex Top Loading Pistol - SAP2

Here it is....my Top Loading K'nex Pistol. It has the same body as my pistol, the SAP1, and functions just as good. The 'slide' has been converted, and now lifts up to reveal an area where you place the bullet. It shoots a rod, preferably yellow or blue, and looks pretty cool. Here are some Pro's and Con's.

-Pro's-

Top loading, so easy to load, and the bullet stays in easier.

Good Range 40- ish feet.

Comfy Handle

Easy to build.

If held upside-down, the 'slide' actually won't open, and even yet, it stays open when you open it up.

Sturdy

-Con's-

I thought it was the first of it's kind on this site.....I was wrong. There are just as any Top loading pistols out there as there are slide action pistols :'(

It's basically the SAP1, minus the Slide Action, plus the Top Loader.

Hmmm..... well, you did a good job making this a top loading pistol. I would have made the handle a different angle, but that's all just personal preference. Also some of the edges need a little smoothed, but again this a pretty good gun.
I can tell you are more interested in concept knex guns like I am so if you want a challenge I got one for you.

Thanks for your opinion on it! The rough edges kind of bother me too, but I'm too lazy to fix it. Besides, if it works I don't really care what it looks like. But anyway, I do love concept guns, just because it's fun to have a new project to do. What's your challenge?

Yep, I know what you mean with finding time to fix the edges. Sometimes you just don't have time to smooth them ( plus it always is a bit of a pain to get them to work ).

Anyway my challenge to you is to try using my Buzzsaw Revolver mechanism ( vertical revolver ) in a hammer gun or rifle format. So a more simple way to put it, I want to see your spin on the Buzzsaw Revolver concept.

I'll try that...Thanks for the idea! Also, please check out my new gun that I'm going to post in the next half hour or so. It's one of my best guns yet.

No problem! I didn't feel I got all the potential out of that idea so there is a Buzzsaw II ideas floating around just haven't got around to them. I will also check out your new gun when you post it. If not I am at school right now so... you know, you don't want to miss the professors lecture, but I do have time till about 2:20ish central time.
