Introduction: Knex Catapult, Special Reloading System, Made by My 7 Year Old Nephew Joep

About: This part used to be full of crap but I finally deleted all of it. I'm Tigernod. I'm a student from North Brabant. You are all awesome and I love you. <3

This is a 6 wheeled knex catapult with a special reloading system (see step 4). It is made completely by my little nephew Joep, I didn't helped him. He is really smart for its age (I think), he is only 7 years old! I was just working on my new knex shotgun (see step 4) and after a few minutes, he showed me what he made! I was so amazed! I promised him to post it, and now its done. Anyway, I hope you all like this catapult. If anything is unclear, please post a comment. Oh yeah, and please be nice with your comments because 1: this is his first Instructable 2:he is only 7 years old and 3: this is not made for a knex war, just to have some fun. so don't go comparing it with KillerK's rifle or Gorkems sniper.

Hope you like it, don't forget to rate and comment!!!

Step 1: Building the Framework

And we're off! Lets start with the hardest part, so that is done already. First, lets build the wheels. They are clearly explained on the first 3 pictures. Don't forget that you willl need 6 of them! Tires are optional, but they provide much more grip. On picture 4 you see the "frame". You need to make 2 of them. The fifth and sixth picture explains how the wheels are attached to the frame. The seventh image is another part of the frame. Easy as pie. OK, now that is done, take a little rest and go to the next step.

Step 2: Building the (...how to Call This...) Other Stuff

Now, you just have too make the other stuff on this catapult. Don't worry, It's very easy, just like everything else on my catapult. Let's start with the trigger. This is explained on image 1. I think that is just too easy. Next, the catapult (2). Just make that thingie. Then, build the part on the fifth image. Easy as pie. You need to connect that thing to the catapult. Explained on image 6 and 7. Watch out for the blue rings! (also known as "spacers") They need to be placed exactly as in the pictures. And on the final image you see the ammo. I made two of them, you can make as much as you like, but the catapult only holds two.

And now, let's move on to the next step!

Step 3: Assembly!

Well, was that easy or not? It's now time for the assembly. Start with the parts you created at the first step. Attach them together like in the third image. Do the same with the other side (4). Don't get your front and back mixed up: The white gray connectors comes at the front, the light orange ones at the back. It must be the same in image 5. Now get that trigger from step 2 and place it where the notes are. If you have done it alright, it should be the same as in image number seven. A catapult is not a real catapult without... a catapult! So assemble it to the frame.(8 and 9) Again, take a good look at where the spacers are! If you are good at this, you could add a few rubber bands, but i was too lazy for that. And now...

BREAKING NEWS! You just made your own brand new knex catapult! Huray! i bet you can´t wait to try it out, so move on to the next step!

Step 4: Firing It!

Its not difficult to fire this medieval piece of fun. To fire the catapult, pull the trigger upwards so it will push the ammo and let it fall into place. Then hold your finger at the dark grey connectors and...

FIRE!!!
