Introduction: K'nex Racer

This is my first instructable. I hoped it would be my automatic knex RBG but I havent got any rubberbands to test it right now so that will come later.
Me and my brother have build offs to see who can build the better model. and I decided that I will use gears to up the speed on an old design of mine.
here is the result.

Word of warning: do not use more than three gears to increase speed. This requires you to use the bigger wheels at the back creating more weight. As the increase in speed causes lower torque your model will fail to reach top speed.

Step 1: Body

for this step you can use any motor you have as long as it is that shape
i.e. grey/green/.blue

follow as the images show

Step 2: Front Axle

Give a general description of the Stepagain follow the images.
the wheel is 2 wheels thick

Step 3: Back End

build this

Step 4: Rear Axle

same as usual

Step 5: Back End Assembly

follow the images

Step 6: Insert Gears

this will create the effect of acceleration and high top speed.

Step 7: Finished

take the red rods and put the through the top panel as shown.

if you don't want a racer just extend the rear axle. and swap the gears and use larger wheels. this will provide more torque so it can be an offroad racer.
