Hello Everyone!
This instructable will provide the needed steps to make your very own Kusudama flower. These paper flowers are very easy to make and can be easily personalized! You can add your own flare by choosing patterns and colors that speak to you! Kusudama flowers make great gifts and decorations! These flowers are a fun activity for all ages!
Step 1: Required Supplies
All you will need to construct this Kusudama flower is five pieces of square paper. You can use regular or origami paper, but origami paper will be easier to use. Also, you will need some type of adhesive; super glue would be preferred.
Step 2: First Fold
Take the square piece of paper and fold it in half along the diagonal axis. Push down firmly on the fold, to create a crease.
Step 3: Reforming a Square
Fold both the right and left corners of the triangle up to the top, forming a square.
Step 4: Making the Flaps
Fold the left and right corners of the triangle so that the edges meet the diagonal creases you made in Step 3.
Step 5: Flattening the Flaps
Unfold each edge and place a finger into the pocket of the flap. Once the flap is opened flatten it down. Refer to figure for clarification.
Step 6: Fold the Top Portions
Fold the top portions of each flap down. Refer to figure.
Step 7: Folding the Flaps
Take each flattened side and fold it in half
Step 8: Forming the Petal
Take each side and bring them together. Do this carefully to make sure the paper is not creased or damaged. Once the sides are positioned correctly glue the sides together. This will create one petal.
Step 9: Make the Other Petals
Repeat steps 2-8 to make a total of 5 petals.
Step 10: Forming the Flower
Join one unit to another by gluing them in the areas as shown. Repeat this step until all 5 units are glued together.
Step 11: Admire Your Work
Congratulations, you have now completed your flower! Admire your work and show your friends!

Nice paper craft project. I love making origami flowers for my wife because they never wilt.
