These earrings are easy and fast to make, and really cheap.
You only need basic tools and you can use small piece of scrap leather.
They are really lightweight, and they don't get mess up like the real feather one.

Step 1: WHAT YOU NEED

Materials:
-scrap leather;
-earrings hooks;
-crimps;
-transparent leather acrylic (I used a acrylic medium, UV and water resistent, that dry really flexible, of a brand "Golden");
-copper or gold dust;
Tools:
-good scissors;
-pliers;
-small brush.

+some decoration that you want (little chains, mini studs, beads...)

Step 2: DRAW THE SHAPE

Draw some feathers shape that you like on a piece of hard paper and cut them.
The top part of the feathers should be large like the crimps.

Step 3: CUT LEATHER ✄

Draw the shape you draw on the leather and cut the shape on the leather, you can use different color of leather.
The bottom edges of the feather should not be sharpen because if not the leather get curly: so cut away a small pieces of it (like in the third photo).

Step 4: MAKE CUT

Mache some cut in the feathers (like in the photos).

Step 5: PAINT

Mix the acrylic and the copper/gold dust (don't put too much dust or it will not stick to the leather), or use ready acrylic.
Paint the feathers how you like. If the leather is already colored with a thick layer of paint you should sand it with fine sand paper.
Apply a really tiny layer of paint or it will come out because the acrylic will lose his flexibility.
