LED CAR TAIL LIGHT CONVERSION | HOW TO CHANGE BULBS ON DODGE RAM PICKUP TAILLIGHTS

hi everyone, this is geramicc85 and today i will show you how to change the bulbs on the dodge ram taillights. All you need is a replacement bulb 3157 and a Torx T25 Screwdriver. I am going to install these LED bulbs instead of the 27 watt stock bulbs. First thing is to drop the tailgate. Now for the replacement i have to take out the tail light unit. 2 Screws hold the unit from the inside of the bed. You find them right here. Take your T25 Screwdriver and take out both of the screws. Now you can start on the bottom and grab the unit like that with your fingers. Pull it towards the rear on the bottom and on the top for an evenly slide out. Now I'm laying it onto the tailgate for an easy bulb access. Now i can turn the this bulb socket contra clockwise until it comes off. Now i can just pull out that 3157 style bulb like that and put the new led bulb in. Make sure the bulb lights up before you put the unit back together to see if its operating correctly. Now you can reinsert the socket. Make sure to insert it the right way there are three different size notches. Then turn the socket clockwise to the end for a secure hold. Now i am putting the tail light unit back in by making sure to insert the two spikes into these holes. i am checking the wires so that i dont squeeze them. I push firmly onto the light unit until it slides back in its position. Put the two screws back in to secure the unit.
