Introduction: LED CHRISTMAS TREE ON PLEXIGLAS
Here is an instructable of making a simple christmas tree with LED's. It shines a constant light and is powered by 4 1.5 V (AA) bateries.
Step 1: PARTS:
COMPONENTS:
- plexiglas [225x274] mm
- 5x yellow LED's 5mm
- 8x red LED's 5mm
- 27x green LED's 5mm
- 1x pushbutton switch
- 1x battery holder (dimensions about: [63x63] mm for
- 4x 1.5V AA batteries
- 40x resistors 190Ω (or close but more)
- some wires (optional)
base (I used a cut piece of wood painted gold)
TOOLS:
- drill
- soldering iron
- spray paint
PROJECT:
Step 2: PLANNING
Stick a sheet of paper with a project printed on it to plexiglas with double-sided tape.
You can use mine or make your own in AutoCad, Photoshop etc.
Step 3: DRILLING
Drill holes in indicated points and remove a sheet of paper.
Step 4: PLACING LED'S
Place LED's inside the holes.
Step 5: SOLDERING
Solder the LED's with resistors and connect everything together.
Step 6: INSTALLING PUSHBUTTON SWITCH AND BATTERY HOLDER
As above. Drill a hole for placing pushbutton switch and fasten battery holder in indicated place. Then solder it with circuit.
Step 7: PAINTING
Make your own base for LED Christmas Tree and paint the back of plexiglas gold.
Step 8: CLEANING
Remove the protecting foil cover from plexiglas and voilà! Your LED CHRISTMAS TREE ON PLEXIGLAS is done!
