Introduction: LED Candle Holder

About: Think outside the box.

Welcome to my DIY guide on creating a modern, stylish candleholder that blends art with functionality. Using high-quality stainless steel straws, trays, resin, and LED flickering candles, I’ve crafted a unique piece that brings a contemporary twist to traditional candlelight. This project is perfect for anyone looking to add a touch of modern elegance to their home decor.

Supplies

Stainless steel straws

Stainless steel rings

Stainless steel trays

LED flickering candles

Epoxy resin kit

Step 1: Design & Preparation:

Start by designing your candleholder layout. Drill holes in the tray. Arrange the stainless steel straws on the tray.

Step 2: Making Connectors:

I designed a custom PCB, used ferrules.

Step 3: Pouring Resin#1

A resin mold can make it easier. Place the magnets into the holes. Mind the polarity of magnets. The 2 magnets must be in opposite direction. Put the soldered pcbs into the mold and pour the resin.

Step 4: Spring Pins:

Put the pins into the tubes. Use a 0.6mm sheet for spacing. Solder them carefully, do not overheat.

Step 5: Straws, Rings and Resin:

Secure the straws in place using superglue, then mix and pour the resin over the pcbs and magnets, ensuring they’re evenly coated and firmly attached.

Step 6: Candles:

Cut a conduit into 5 cm pieces. The LED needs a current limiting resistor ( 100-330 ohm).

Step 7: Electrical Connection:

Pay attention to the polarity of the magnets and LEDs. I also used a 30-minute timer. Powered by USB 5V or 3pcs AA or AAA batteries. Last step, pour resin and allow it to cure completely.

Step 8: Enjoy the Result :)
