Introduction: LEGO Street Light & Winter Village

Christmas is coming soon, it's time to prepare Winter village and especially to illuminate it

Noel arrive à grand pas il est alors temps de préparer son village de noel et surtout d'éclairer celui-ci

Step 1: Materials and Components

Regarding the electronic components you will need of :

- Wire 0.22mm2 (D ext 1.1mm) Black & Red example here
- Resistor 560Ohms 1/4W example here
- Led Yellow 7000mcd D3mm - 20mA - 2.0/2.4V - 100mW example here
- Power supply example here
- Shrink sleeve example here
- Connector example here
- LEGO Parts

Equipment :
soldering iron (fer à souder)
stripper tool (pince à dénuder)
tin (Etain)

Step 2: Electrical Sizing Components

** all the installation (couple led+resistor) must be in parallel **

My power supply

Input : 110-240 VAC / 50/60Hz
Output : 12V - 1A

Led Characteristic

Intensity : 20mA
Voltage : 2.0/2.4V

Resistor calculation : (see picture)

R = (Upower - Uled) / I = (12 - 2 ) / 0,02 = 500 Ohms

the upper available resistor is 560 Ohms

Step 3: The LEGO "body"

For this example you will need the following parts for 1 street lighting :

2 x Plate, Round 1 x 1 Straight Side - Red - 4073
2 x Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Studs on 4 Sides - Black - 4733
4 x Lever Small Base with Black Lever - Black - 4592c
4 x Brick, Round 1 x 1 Open Stud - Black - 3062b
1 x Cone 2 x 2 x 2 - Completely Open Stud - Black - 3942c
1 x Plate, Round 4 x 4 with Hole - White - 60474

Step 4: Electrical Parts

1. Make the assembly of the first part, 1 led and 2 wires welded on it

take care to make a small welding and close to the led, in order to introduce it into the brick 1x1 modified

2. Insert this part into the lego parts

3. Weld the resistor and connector under the lamp (don't forget to insert the sleeve before welding)

1. Faite l'assemblage de la première pièce, 1 led et 2 fils soudés sur elle

Prenez soin de faire une petite soudure et proche de la led, afin de l'introduire celle-ci dans la brique 1x1 modifiée

2. Insérer cette assemblage dans le lampadaire

3. Soudez la résistance et le connecteur sous la lampe (n'oubliez pas d'insérer la gaine avant la soudure)

Step 5: Test & Repeat Process

In my case I have done 10 street lighting

Step 6: Extra - Lighting Lego House

You can also do the same as before, and insert these led into a house or other
