Step 1: List of Materials

http://blog.wdka.nl/make

Here's a list of things you need

  • 20 X 3 mm multiple color LED's, bought them for 0.44ct each
  • 3 X 9volt Batteries
  • 3 X 9volt batteryconnector
  • 20 X LED resistors
  • flexible wire 5m package
  • One pair of trousers
  • Sticky plastic tape
  • Scissor
  • Needle and Thread

Step 2: Measure Out the Electric Wire

http://blog.wdka.nl/make

  • First thing to do is determine the length of the electric wires and where you want to place them
  • For each electronic circuit, you'll need two wires. One for the pluspole , one for the minuspole
  • Link the two wires but leave space between them

Step 3: Making a Parallel Electric Circuit

http://blog.wdka.nl/make

  • Make small openings into the wire for the resistor and the LED
  • connect the resistor, just fold in over the opening in the wire
  • connect the LED, make sure all ledlights are attached the same, for the + and - poles
  • Connect the LED's to the other opening, again, just fold them over the wire-opening
  • last, isolate the circuit with plastic tape
  • make sure all the LED's point at the same direction and do not cover them with tape

Note : the metal from the LED's and the resistors are flexible, but don't bent the part close to the
beginning of the LED or resistor or it might break

Step 4: Sewing the Circuit and the Lights Onto the Trousers

http://blog.wdka.nl/make

  • First, connect the 9 volt batteryadapter on the circuit
  • Make a small hole in the trouserspocket.
  • Sew the plastic isolationpart near the pocket hole
  • put the end with the batteryadapter through the hole into the pocket

Determine a spot were you want to add a LED light, cut out a small hole with the scissors.
Make sure that it isn't bigger than a 3 mm diameter.

  • Now sew all LedLights one by one, make the next hole after sewing a LED
  • Make sure to give the wire space between each LEd, you'll be able to move more freely if you do so
  • repeat this process on each powercircuit

Step 5: The Result

http://blog.wdka.nl/make

You have total freedom of movement. Because there is enough space between each light, it won't break that easely.
Have fun with your own ledpants
