Laminate Parque Laptop Stand
Intro: Laminate Parque Laptop Stand
I saw the designs of the other instructable laptop stands on instructables and thought "I must make one for myself !!!" So here is my instructable. With this instructable i tried to get rid of the cable and device mess on my desk and it worked :) Actually the project is not finished yet but I just excited because this is my first instructable.
Now It's Absolutely Finished :D
Parts-Prices (all the prices are approximately cos we don't use $ in Turkiye)

Laminate Parque 1-2 pcs (+) (i just had from construction of our house. I don't know how much is that.)
non-slippery mat 3$ (-)
Strong Black Tape 3$ (-)
Double Sided Tape 2$ (+)
Scotch Tape 1$ (+)
10 pcs of blue led 1.6$ (-)
Straws 100 pcs 0.5$ (+) (I used 10 pcs)
Potentiometer 10K 0.2$ (+)
TOTAL: 11.3 $ if you don't have any of theese
It cost 7.6$ for me.
STEP 1: Parts & Tools
I also used a drill, some screws, and a safety glass of course except the tools u see on the pictures.
STEP 2: Cutting & Forming the Parts
Everyone has different pc's so i want to skip the measurements of the parts. Just cut the laminate parque u bought by measuring your own notebook pc.
STEP 3: Assabmling
I used screws to assamble the whole product because the laminate parques are has really slippery surfaces to use glue. I thougt it would just brake apart with a small hit. It doesn't look cool for now but I will cover the screws by painting to black and covering the whole product with non slippery cloth.
STEP 4: Finished Product
For now it looks like this. But i think i made the holder step really big. So before painting i'll change it to a smaller holder.
I put all the cable mess, my external hard drive & it's own adapter and my notebook's adapter under my new laptop holder. It's now more clear than the picture u see :D

STEP 5: Metamorphose
At first I decided not to paint the stand to black and add a fan with ventilation holes cos my PC doesn't need ventilation.
Get started with the covering. I bought a non-slippery black mat to cover my stand. When covering I used double sided tape.
When it's done it was already perfect. But I did not stop.

STEP 6: Using LED 's to Become More Attractive
We are entering the LED zone. The preparation step is this one.
I used a soldering iron, some solder, some soldering paste, some straws, little piece of heatshrink tube to close up the soldered legs of LED's, a razor blade, scissors, some really strong black tape, and invisible scotch tape. Oh! I forgot Some wires of course..

STEP 7: Preparing LED Glowing Sticks
At first I added the straws together and cut a little to make them enough long for my project.
I inserted two LEDs at the ends of the straws and used heatshrink to make it tight

STEP 8: Placing the Glowing Stcks
I soldered the legs of LEDs to 4-5 inches long wires and started to stick them on to the stand.
I connected all the anodes and off course cathodes together.
I used the USb port of my laptop as power source. To do this I cut the wire of my old USB keyboard and find the black and red wires in it.
Be careful! If you don't use a resistor, then your LEDs will burn itself like my LEDs :)) I tried to find the true resistor value by trial. At last i found another solution! Potentiometer!!! I connected the potentiometer serially to my circuit and done. Let's have a look at it at the last step.
