Introduction: Lasercut Buttons & Beads

Making buttons and beads is a great way to use up scraps left over from lasercutting projects (either your projects or scraps that others have discarded).

The trick is to measure out a usable area of the material and line up your file to cut in those areas.

I've included two pdf files that you can use to get started. Try it with different thicknesses of acrylic.
Wood scraps that are suitable for lasercutting should work too...

Step 1: Use Them in Jewelry or Sew Them on Clothes

There are so many ways to use the beads and buttons.
Make necklaces and earrings.

The button file included has buttons that are 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch.

You may need to modify the size to fit your garment.

Enjoy, have fun, reuse, re-purpose, recycle!

I made these at TechShop!
