Introduction: Last Minute Cardboard Wolverine Pepakura Mask
I will be short. There is already many instructables about pepakura and I just wanted to show what I did.
WARNING : I'm not responsable if you cut yourself with the scissors, the cardboard or the paper. This project is at your own risk. You must realize that if you use paint or glue on the mask, it could end up on you or your clothes, especially if you wear it outside on a rainy day. Wearing a mask can obstruct your vision. Be aware!
Materials and tools :
- Sheets of paper + a printer
- Pencil
- Good scissors
- Cardboard boxes
- Scotch tape
- Masken tape
- White glue
- Yellow and black paint
Step 1: Print, Draw, Cut and Scotch Tape
On Google images, I typed Wolverine pepakura and chose one of the models. I open it with Pepakura Designer 3 and print it. I used scissors and scotch tape. Then, I destroyed some cardboard boxes. I put my paper models on the cardboard and I draw around it (see picture). I cutted the cardboard. Don't use a blue pencil like I did to draw on the cardboard. Use a yellow pencil instead or you will have green spots on your mask when painted (blue + yellow = green).
Step 2: Build the Mask
Bend the cardboard and make everything fit. It comes naturally. This is an easy project because it don't have many parts and it's easy to figure where to put each of them. I used masken tape to hold everything together.
Step 3: Glue and Paint the Mask
I covered the outside of the mask with white glue to make everything stick together and to make the mask stronger. Then I waited that everything was dry. I painted the outside of the mask : 2 layers of yellow and one of black. Again, I waited that everything was dry. Then, I put another layer of white glue to protect the paint.
Step 4: Voilà!
This is the final result. I used it for halloween with a yellow t-shirt. Thanks for reading me!
