Lego Necklace

Introduction: Lego Necklace

About: I am a third-year Architecture major at the University of Texas at Austin. I enjoy creating and experimenting.

I've seen some of those super expensive Lego necklaces that have diamonds and are plated in hold and stuff like that, and I wanted one for me. They're really simple to make and can be personalized as much as you want. They're also great gifts for boys and girls, young and old alike!

Step 1: Supplies

You will need: A flat Lego A needle Pliers Small chain Large chain Lobster clasp Optional: Glue Plastic rhinestone

Step 2: Make the Chain Part

Take the small chain and measure out how long you want your necklace to be. Using a jump ring, attach one inch of the large chain. Leave the lobster clasp unattached for the moment.

Step 3: The Lego

Heat your needle over the stove (you should wear gloves if you don't have a tool like mine) and slowly poke a hole through the Lego. You'll want the hole near the edge so that the jump ring will fit and close. Add the jump ring and close it. At this point, if you have a fake rhinestone, you can glue it on to one of the raised knob things. Your rhinestone should be 5 millimeters in diameter. I find super glue works really well for this.

Step 4: Finnish It Up

Slide the Lego onto the chain. Attach the lobster clasp with a jump ring and you're done! If you didn't add a rhinestone to the Lego you can connect other Legos to the 'base' Lego and change it every day!
