Introduction: Light Theremin

This project is a extend of this project made by zacharyianhoward:

https://www.instructables.com/Arduino-Light-Therem...

Light theremin will light up when the light is brighter, and light out when the light is blocked from the photoresistor.

Hope you enjoy!

Step 1: Prepare Materials

1 box

1 scissor

3 card board box
1 tape

1 Arduino Leonardo

7 LED lights

2 male to female wires

1 photoresistor

7 resistance of 1k Ohms 5%

1 resistance of 120 Ohms 1%

Code: https://create.arduino.cc/editor/username_sopie/e5f590a6-6e8e-45cc-95f9-170e3cf380bf/preview

Step 2: Circuit

This is how you should build the circuit.

In this project, the photoresistor should be able to reach the top of the book holder. As a result, apply extension such as male to female wire can be very important.

The code you're going to download and insert is in the following link:

https://create.arduino.cc/editor/username_sopie/e5...

Step 3: Container

To create the container of the light theremin, cut a rectangle shape in the middle of a box, and a small square on the edge of one of the wing.

After that, upload the code, place the circuit and it's energy source into the container.

Step 4: Tape It

Fix the photoresistor on to the surface of the box with tape, and adjust the position of the circuit, so LED light can be seen through from the rectangle hole.

After that, use tapes to fix the wings of the box so it won't open without the help from box cutter or scissor.

Step 5: Finish

Now you can play around with it!

Explore the changes of LED light by blocking the light towards the photoresistor, and made some changes by using LED lights with different colors.
