With a name tag like this, you'll make a great first impression! These name tags can also be a gift for anybody, after all, who wouldn't want one?

Step 1: Materials

You will need:
A sharpie/ marker of your choic
A pushpin
Flashlight (preferably small)
Hard, thick plastic/ glass
Hot glue gun

Step 2: The Plastic

Find a way to get a good sized peice of hard plastic. A piece of plexiglass would work. Being a teen with no job or allowance with cheap parents, I had to cut a candy container to get mine. Cracks appeared randomly, but I kinda like how it looks. Get two pieces of plastic: one that you will write your name on, and one that will give it color.

Step 3: Writing Your Name

Use the pushpin to scratch your name on. You can use more advanced tools that might make it look neater, but again, I don't have that kind of stuff. When you're done with the front side, flip the plastic over and trace it. I find that outing some colored paper underneath the plastic makes it easier.

Step 4: Adding Color

Take your smaller piece of glass and color it with any color of your choice. Try to avoid light colors like cyan and yellow.

Step 5: Attach

Using the hot glue gun, glue the two pieces perpendicularly.

Step 6: Light It Up!

Put the flashlight behind your colored glass and turn it on! Congrats! You have your very own light up name tag!
