Simple Light Duty Cardboard Home Depot Table

Light duty table made with parts from Home  Depot table using 5 small Home Depot cardboard boxes, yard stick and duct tape.  Meant for temporary use; nothing long term.

Step 1: Put Boxes Together

Take 4 of the Home Depot boxes and put them together.  Fold the flaps inside and tape down.  Then put one on the ground horizontally and one on top of it vertically.  Tape them together; now you have one side of the table.  Do this a 2nd time to get the other side of the table.  Be sure to securely tape the boxes together in the back as well for both sides of the table.

Step 2: Secure the Yardstick

Position both boxes just under a yard away from each other with the vertical box on top.  Place the yardstick on top of them, about 3 inches in on both sides.  Tape it down with duct tape.

Step 3: Tape the Top

Take the 5th Home Depot box and keep it flat.  Tape the sides so that it can't open up and becomes one solid sheet of cardboard.

Step 4: Completed Table

Secure the tabletop to the yardstick and the top of the boxes using duct tape on top and underneath.

The table is now complete.  In this picture it is holding a laptop, keyboard and loaded caulking gun.  The table sides can be used to hold items like book, paper, etc.  Once again, this is meant for light duty, short term use, maybe a few months at most.  It can be built quickly, easily and inexpensively until you have the time and money to build one from wood.
