Introduction: LionBrand Landscapes in the Ponytail Hat
This is The Ponytail Hat from Magknits' December 2007 issue. I used LionBrand Landscapes in Summerfields to create this bright festive hat for my mom.
It's the perfect hat for women with ponytail length hair because you can now put on a hat without messing up your 'do!
The instructions were quite easy and this was a nice fast knit. I love the star pattern you get with decreases as you work your way towards the crown.
UPDATE: I found the pattern on Ravelry.com. It's a free download: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hannah-4
Hope that helps everyone!

It was from the December Magknits 2007 edition. Magknits.com is no longer online, but it was a free pattern. I have the printout. Does anyone know if it's okay for me to share (intellecutal property right issues?) since it was originally free? If so, I'm willing to type up what I have and share. Someone let me know please either via here or email: tiffanykh AT hotmail DOT com. Thanks!

What a cool idea! It looks great in the Landscapes.

Landscapes was the perfect choice for this ponytail hat...so warm and colorful. And if you change the pattern to make it larger, you could felt it into something amazing, too! I'm making matching mittens! lol

Hey, if you or anyone else ever does felt this hat, post a picture, would you? Better, drop a notice for me (click "gizmology" up there in orange and send me a message) so I won't miss it. I would love to see this felted, but I'm a crocheter, and I don't think you could crochet this very easily...

At first before I clicked the Slideshow, I thought the 1st picture was the 2008 ball that was dropped in NYC! Hahaha, well, nice job anyways.

Thank you! Hahaha! I guess it is festive enough to look like the 2008 ball! ;-)

Thank you very much! The pattern is really easy to follow and I've made it with Lion Brand's big wool, too. Landscapes is my favorite though. :-)
