Little Sister Adam Syringe

Made to resemble the Adam Syringe's that the Little Sister's in the video game Bioshock use. I started playing the games and became enamored with the world and all the hodgepodge items throughout it. Ive seen many versions of this build but I decided to try my hand at it.

Step 1: Gas Pump

To begin with i ordered an antique gas pump from ebay for pretty cheap. I did very little modification to it since its pretty much how it should be. The only real modification i did to it was to drill a hole in the top metal piece in order to attach the "adam" jar.

Step 2: Jar

The jar i used was a salad dressing jar that i had finished. The only thing i did to the jar was drill a hole in the lid to attach to the gas pump.  The "adam" is mens shampoo with some red Smooth-on So-Strong pigment mixed into it.

Step 3: Needle

The needle is a .5" diameter rod that i hand forged to a point.

Step 4: Cap Piece

The cap piece where the little sisters "drink the adam" is turned from two pieces of maple with a baby bottle rubber sucker thing sandwiched between them to hold it in. I simply glued it onto the jar at the end. 

Step 5: Painting

For paint i wanted to age the piece to make it look like an antique brass/bronze instead of the silver metal it was originally, so i used gold hammered spray paint with some spritzing of black to give it that weathered look.

I have a question: if you bring this thing to, say, a convention, are they going to let you in?

Awesome!
Only problem.. If somebody is using this at a Cosplay event.. You're not making it in there.. You can't have any sort of weapons made of metal.. which.. Is understandable.

As long as the needle itself is not metal, it is fine.
