Introduction: Live Edge Wooden Mirror

Who needs to spend lots of money to be fancy? Not me! Learn how to create your very own live edge wooden mirror right here!

Step 1: Materials

With this project, all I used was a mirror and a piece of 1" wood.

Step 2: Preparing the Wood

I cut the 1" board with the grain. In this one I utilized the red discoloration in the pine wood, cut it with a skill saw, then clamped it to my wood bench and used a hammer and chisel to fake a live edge to the wood. You an also choose to stain your wood.

Step 3: Preparing the Mirror

For this mirror you only need to take off the frame by ripping off the back. I had to to then take my knife out to help pull the glue off. This mirror is the cheap one sold for collage students and is only glued on the back.

***Be really careful on this step as it is super easy to brake the mirror.

Step 4: Glue

After the mirror is taken out of the frame and the "live edge" wood stained to your liking, glue the mirror to the wood using liquid nails.

Step 5: Live Edge Wooden Mirror

The finished product is a beautiful mirror that costs about $10 but looks like a $100 mirror. Enjoy!
