Introduction: Logitech Harmony One Teardown
because I had this lying around and it was broken I decided to step to disassemble so that if there are people who want to repair their own remote control to know how to open it
necessary tools
1 mini Phillips screwdriver
1 mini screwdriver normal 5 or 6 mm wide
warning self opening your Harmony One remote
will lose your Grantie. so be sure it has expired.
I take no responsibility for making damage of any kind.
Step 1: Step 1
open the battery cover and remove the battery.
Here are 4 small phillips head screws
where there are two are visible, and 2 back to the sticker on the bottom is indicated by arrow yellow. *
* by me is this sticker not remove. I did not know that there are 2 screws were hidden and I have broken it loose when opening the case. it break very quickly so make sure you do not forget.
Step 2: Step 2
Take the normal screwdriver and insert it between the covering plate. this is best done at the top so as indicated on the picture. This plate is stuck with little clip at the top, and underneath is something like glue or double sided tape. so be careful pulling this thing
Step 3: Step 3
when the cover is removed you will find here are 3 Phillips screws. indicated on the spot with the yellow arrow.
Step 4: Step 4
now you can open the remote. in order to remove the circuit board
turn the 2 Phillips screws shown in photo.
Step 5: Step 5
After the removal of the screws 2 recess indicated on the picture previous step. fold the board open but beware that you do not have the ribbon cable to the touchschreen destroy. it pulls you apart very quickly on the spot indicated on the picture.
I recommend this first release to prevent damage because it is very difficult to get back to touchschreen fastening.
Step 6: Step 6
Here you'll find some photo's of the PCB and the LCD screen.
there is also not unusual to see the PCB and all components are made ââseparately. as I see I do not think you do a lot could fix it is all microchips and very small parts.

If you've still got this remote sitting around, can you post the chip identifiers? It would be interesting to see what this is running, and there's a possibility of some hacks.
