Hello This is a low budget guide to growing marijuana. You can find a lot of useful information at www.growweedeasy.com about first time grows and what to expect. keep in mind that all i am using is some fox farm ocean forest soil and regular tap water no nutes or added fertilizers hence "on a budget"

Step 1: Get a Grow Light

First you want to get a MH or HPS grow light with a hood and a balast. You can find them on amazon or ebay for relatively cheap. (a 400w light is about 90.00USD)

Step 2: Find a Clean Closet and Get Some Clones

So I know that its best to use a grow tent with the carbon filter exhaust fan and intake fans but if your on a budget a standard bedroom closet will work just fine, (well it worked for me).

once you have your light hung in your closet you will want to get a couple clones, for my grow i have two clones a ak-47 and a tangerine kush, with a 400w HPS grow light and a standard 24h analog timer.

Step 3: Vegetation

Well its completely up to you on how long you want to veg your plants for but i went with just a week on 17hrs light and 7hrs dark and my ak-47 was 12in and the tangerine was 18in when i started to flower.

Step 4: Flowering Stage

So after you are done vegging your plants for your preferred time you want to throw them into flowering which would mean that you need to change the amount of light your plants get by changing the time to 12hrs light and 12hrs dark.( dont worry you wont see any noticeable changes for about 10-14 days

Step 5: Keep on Flowering

So at this point i have been flowering for 6 1/2 weeks and this is what i have so far with no nutes (only water and soil)

I know that the leaves are yellowing due to a possible nitrogen deficiency and the roots are getting root bound since i used a 3 and a 2.5 Gal planter pots so i would recommend 5 gallon pots so your girls can grow with plenty of room.

Step 6: Harvest Time

So for most indica strains you want to flower for about 8 weeks and for sativa strains you want to flower for about 10 weeks. once you are in that time frame for your strains you should see that about 70-80 percent of the pistols on the buds should be darkened and if you look at your buds with a jewlers loop or a pocket micro scope you should see that the crystals are no longer clear but cloudy and turning amber. if thats the case its time to harvest.

I would recommend that you hang dry the buds but there are a few methods.

Step 7: Drying

So after you chop your plants down you want to dry your buds its up to you if you want to trim them wet then hang dry like in the picture above (however its not my picture) or you can trim the shade leaves off the buds and hang dry them. ( ive found that the timing the shade leaves then timing the shake leaves works the best(Just a personal preference))

Step 8: Burping Your New Buds

so once you have your weed hung and dry(about 7days) you want to put it in mason jars for about 1-2 weeks(remember to open the jar every 2-3 days for about 15 minuets to release any moisture trying to leave the buds)

Step 9: Finished

So after you have vegged,

Flowered, Harvested, Dried,

Trimmed,

And Cured the herb its all done .

Please keep in mind that this guide is a very basic guide to grow cheap marijuana. ( in my grow i only spent 200.00usd at most. The light cost the biggest portion.)
