Want to fulfill that smoothie craving - veggie style? Then try this smoothie recipe!
Step 1: Ingridients and Blending
1 Lemon - Juiced
1/2 cup Salsa
1 tomato - quartered
1 cup raw broccoli
1 cup raw kale, or another leafy green (about 1-2 leaves)
1/2 raw carrot, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 - 2 cloves raw garlic
1 - 2 slices onion or 1-2 pearl onions
7-10 olives - pitted
1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds - shelled
1/2 cup raw sesame seeds
1 Celery Stick
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Place everything in your blender in the order it appears on the ingredients list reserving the celery. Blend on high using the celery to push things down. If your smoothie is too thick, add ice one cube at a time.
Step 2: Enjoy
Okay... so I forgot to take a picture in a cup....
And before anyone yells gross or eww like a child.... Don't knock it before you try it... I was kinda hoping it wouldn't turn brown like it did... But apparently green + orange + red = pale brown :p

Oh cool... salad in cup! I think just a bit of garlic with this and it'd make an excellent cracker spread. I haven't tried the recipe yet (I can imagine Mom now...) but I may!

Is this the same thing I've seen in Mythbusters? In that episode where Jamie was eating that brown slushy thing when they were testing wether it would take more energy to keep the windows rolled up in the cars?

Naw, you'll be fine :) Add a raw egg and it might put/grow some hair on your arms and legs and chest :p I must admit though... I'm new the the East Bay area, and I live about 10 minutes by bike away from Berkeley Bowl... And I went a little nuts on the produce :p
